...Actually, FIVE things to think about (for five minutes each.)
Followed a random link to the Student Leaders Incorporated website the other day, and was introduced to a concept I find quite creative (and useful!)
The creators of the site had a problem to solve --
How could they effectively train their audience in running effective meetings, brainstorming, fundraising, working with advisors, handling conflict, etc. in short, bite-sized amounts of time -- even if they were not present to conduct the training themselves?
While planning for an upcoming year of student leadership training, they had a need to create a tool targeted to busy students (and their busy advisors, mentors, teachers!) The tool needed to be quick and easy to use, while still providing students with a solid grasp of issues to consider and evaluate. The key was creating something simple.
The result?
The 5x5s Worksheet: Five things to think about for five minutes each.
You can get the full scoop at the link above (even download your own PDF copy of the 5x5s Worksheet), but my opinion is that they have definitely succeeded in creating a valuable planning tool. Not just for their student leadership group, but for anyone who decides to take five minutes to put it into action in their own lives.

Hey Don...thanks for the shout out on the 5x5s. I have gotten some really good use out of that tool this year with our student leaders. I'm grateful for the review. I noticed a significant spike in readers to that post and discovered that you had dropped a little "link" love my way.
I also was wondering if you ever got to write your manifesto for ChangeThis.com. I know that I had submitted a proposal during the same period that you had.
Talk to you later.

This is great advice for anyone that is trying to lead a group on a busy schedule. It also works for individual planning of goals and objectives in your busy life. Thanks for the info.
